Oatmeal Bread Recipe
Let’s dive into one of our beloved recipes: Oatmeal Bread. Begin by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl to create a shaggy dough. Knead this dough for about 10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes with a mixer until it reaches a soft and smooth texture. After kneading, place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it, and allow it to rise for one hour. You’ll notice it becoming puffy, although it may not fully double in size.
Next, transfer the dough to a lightly oiled surface and shape it into a log. Place this log into a greased 9” x 5” loaf pan, covering the pan with greased plastic wrap. Let the dough rise again for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until it rises 1 to 2 inches above the pan's rim. Preheat your oven to 350°F, and then bake the bread for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown. If it starts browning too quickly, tent it with aluminum foil during the last 10 minutes. A thermometer inserted in the center should read 190°F when the bread is done. Finally, cool the bread on a rack completely before slicing.

- 2 teaspoons instant yeast or 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 ¼ cups (283g) lukewarm milk
